This book is the most famous biography of Liang Qichao in China. It uses Liang Qichao's life experiences as its vertical axis and his interactions with important historical figures such as Kang Youwei, Yuan Shikai, Yan Fu, Sun Yat-sen, Yang Du, Song Jiaoren, Jiang Baili, Hu Shi, and Xu Zhimo as its horizontal axis.
