This manuscript is a new collection of short stories by young writer Jiang Zai, comprising eight stories and approximately 120,000 words. It focuses on the lives of women in Beijing, exploring their living conditions and emotional relationships. The stories explore their self-awareness and pursuits, their setbacks at work, the pain and disappointment in love, and the suffocating and broken family relationships. Against the backdrop of the vast city, these issues seem insignificant; yet, under immense pressure, they still move forward slowly in their own ways, undergoing repeated cycles of self-discovery and reconciliation. The women in the stories, like their names, are like weeds, growing wildly and surviving in the cracks; yet, like flowers, they bloom freely in their own way. The author wants to record these stories to offer support and strength to more people.
