This manuscript is different from Jin's own writings in the "Collection of Essays". It is a compilation of Mr. Jin Chongji's interview records with Qiao Guanhua 40 years ago. In 1981, when Jin Chongji was mainly writing "The Biography of Zhou Enlai", he interviewed many people, and Qiao Guanhua was one of the interviewees. 40 years later, Mr. Jin sorted out this precious interview material for the readers. From June to November 1981, Jin Chongji conducted a total of seven interviews at Qiao Guanhua's residence in Shijia Hutong. Qiao Guanhua recalled Premier Zhou Enlai and the diplomatic work of New China from 1950 to 1975, mainly involving the Korean Armistice Negotiations, the Geneva Conference and the Bandung Conference, and Nixon's visit to China. As an eyewitness, Qiao Guanhua's oral account of some issues in the Korean Armistice Negotiations and the beginning and end of the opening of Sino-US relations is particularly detailed and well-recorded.
