"Us in the Four Seasons" is a set of picture books that allow children to experience the beauty of nature and labor, suitable for parent-child reading for ages 3-6 and independent reading for ages 7-12. The series uses the four seasons as a timeline, from south to north, telling the stories of four children growing up in rural China throughout the four seasons. In spring, they travel to Lin'an, Zhejiang, known as the "Bamboo Capital of China": amidst the spring thunder of the Awakening of Insects, children will experience the tension of rushing to dig for bamboo shoots, feeling the fleeting nature of time. In summer, they visit Putian, Fujian, a city with a thousand-year history of lychee cultivation: from blossoming to ripening, from branch to table, children will understand the meaning of waiting and the joy of harvest. In autumn, they journey to Fuping, Shaanxi, the "Hometown of Persimmons": witnessing how a persimmon undergoes dozens of processes, transforming into a sweet dried persimmon over time. In winter, they travel to Chagan Lake in Songyuan, Jilin, the last fishing and hunting tribe in China: on the frozen lake, they will experience the ancient wisdom of "hunting without ceasing," and understand the true meaning of waiting and reverence.
