This book is a collection of Bolaño's nonfiction works. The original Spanish book was published after Bolaño's death in 2004 and was edited by his highly trusted friend Ignacio Echevarría. It includes his newspaper columns, book reviews, travel notes, speeches, prefaces, etc. types of articles. Its real life trajectory, literary concepts and personal emotions are all in it. The Chinese translation has added 21 additional articles that he has published but were not included in the original Spanish collection, striving to collect all of Bolaño's non-fiction works in one book.
