The work focuses on family relationships, starting with the birth of the "little one"—the child. We see the enormous sacrifices women make in the family, the gradual loss of self by parents in the process of raising children, the intervention, influence, and shaping of children by parents, and the children's inheritance, rebellion, and departure from their parents... The growth of every family is a protracted war. Father, mother, child—each family member, in the trivialities of adjustment, both shapes and depletes each other, yet also binds and deeply loves one another.
