The man who rescued Tongluo, Guashu, owned a boat, and from then on, Tongluo lived on it with Guashu. But this was no ordinary boat; it was a pirate ship, and Guashu was a thief. Tongluo refused to be a thief, nor did he want to associate with thieves. Guashu treated Tongluo like a family member, but he also wanted to drag him down with him, making him a true thief, aboard the pirate ship. Emotion and reason constantly tore at Tongluo's heart. Tongluo resisted in his own way, even leaving the pirate ship. But the heartache, pain, and suffering he experienced after leaving made him yearn for his time on the ship.
