Following Wittgenstein's life trajectory, the book begins with his wealthy yet spiritually troubled childhood, details his studies in Berlin, Manchester, and Cambridge, his battlefield philosophical reflections during World War I, his post-war journey from "returning to the countryside" as a rural teacher to "escaping the wilderness" to resuming philosophical research, and finally his intellectual reflections and passing away.
