This book consists of three parts, "Records of the Western Regions during the Prosperous Tang Dynasty", "The Lone Loyal Returning Army" and "Recovering Hehuang". It tells the touching story of how, after the Anshi Rebellion, Zhang Yichao led the Helong people who had suffered from the oppression of Tubo to form the Returning Army, defeated Tubo, and led the Hexi region, which had been occupied for a hundred years, to return to the Tang Dynasty.
