"At the Beginning: Sweet Fish" is the first in the four-volume series "At the Beginning." Drawing on ancient texts such as "Zizhi Tongjian," "Hanshu," and "Shiji," this volume recounts the anecdotes of a young emperor, "I," during his youth. These include searching for relatives, seeking divination, exploring ancient sites, building altars to pray, and New Year's offerings. Interwoven throughout are ancient legends of Zhuanxu, Nügui, and others.
