This book consists of eleven short stories. Each story is an independent world, with a completely different sense of time and space, atmosphere and rhythm. The creative themes and narrative styles are more open and free. Five stories are set in a small northern town, two are about the history of the Republic of China, and four are about life in Beijing. The timeline spans from Beiping in the Republic of China to the present day in 2018 and a science fiction-like future.
