This book examines the evolution of British royal power through Shakespeare's historical plays, focusing on the major theme in Shakespeare's plays - the political logic in the evolution of British history. It examines Shakespeare's view of kingship and the theories and consciousness of kingship of other contemporaries, and combines drama with Relevant issues in the three fields of literature, political law and modern history are analyzed together. The book is divided into three parts: the first part sorts out the basic form and structure of Shakespeare's historical dramas, as well as the editing and source of materials of Shakespeare's historical dramas, which corresponds to the formation of the orthodox historical view of the Tudor Dynasty and its relationship with Shakespeare's historical dramas. The second part is the main content of the book, which specifically interprets the theme of kingship in Shakespeare's more than ten classic historical dramas and the connotation of its evolutionary logic, legal unity, and political evolution.
