It features the calm war orphan Fren, the villagers hailed him as a hero for defeating a dragon, the childhood magicians Rabinie and Connie, the powerful demon Aura, recuperating from her defeat, and Friren lost in her memories aboard a slowly moving carriage... This story follows the early days of Friren's journey to understand humanity. Composed of five chapters, each featuring Fren, Heuthark, Rabinie and Connie, Aura, and Friren, each unfolding a story not mentioned in the original work.
