The decline of Ming and Qing dynasty China and the contemporary resurgence of China both occurred within the context of globalization. Today, the global landscape is turbulent, the international community is facing significant challenges, and the unprecedented changes of the past century are accelerating. Local conflicts and instability are frequent, and global problems are intensifying. On the one hand, unilateralism and protectionism by northern countries against emerging southern countries are on the rise; on the other hand, economic and trade cooperation among southern countries is increasing. Contradictions are escalating between northern and emerging southern countries, among northern countries themselves, and within northern countries, with proxy wars becoming more frequent.
