This book consists of eight chapters, told along two main themes. One plot recounts Boll's 2011 visit to China for the Eurasia All-Star Game. During that week, the author and Boll were packed with activities, including visiting the Beijing Shenshahai Sports School, dining on Peking duck, exchanging "ping-pong diplomacy" with the Maldivian Ambassador to China, and participating in the Eurasia Match, all before departing. The other plot recounts Boll's growth, his participation in major table tennis tournaments, and the deep friendships he forged with China, Chinese table tennis, and Chinese fans. These two plots intertwine and drive the book's unfolding story along a chronological axis.
