This book tells stories from the time of Hou Yi in the early Xia Dynasty to the Zhou and Zhao Republican era in the late Western Zhou Dynasty. In chronological order, it roughly includes five main parts: Hou Yi replaced the Xia Dynasty, Yi Yin released Tai Jia to Tong, Duke Zhou compiled history, King Mu traveled west, and the Chinese people rioted. This book was deeply influenced by Lu Xun's "New Stories", and created a variety of colorful characters, vividly presenting many characters whose names were only passed down in ancient books to readers.
