This book collects monster images from ancient New Year prints from China and abroad, selecting those with unique forms, rich colors, and clear engravings. Through these images, we examine classical Chinese monsters. Beyond focusing solely on the images themselves, we salvage these monsters from history and literature, uncovering a long-lost tradition of monsters. Based on rigorous textual research, this book incorporates the author's personal insights and interpretations of folk tales, offering both scholarly value and readability.
