Lu Shiqi first published her short story collection, *Dance of Happy Shadows*, in 1968. To date, she has published 14 collections of short stories, winning numerous awards including the Governor General's Literary Award, the Giller Prize, the Commonwealth Writers' Award, and the National Book Critics Circle Award. She received the 3rd Man Booker International Prize in 2009 and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013. Her representative works include *Runaway*, *Happiness Too Much*, and *Who Do You Think You Are*. Lu Shiqi holds a Master of Translation degree from the School of Foreign Languages at Beijing Normal University.
