This book contains 8 short stories written by Zhou Wanjing, the winner of PAGEONE Literature Award, in the past two years. Most of these works have been published in major literary journals. The time and place of the stories are not very related, but they all focus on the survival of urban youth. The materials are eclectic, including the touching friendship between scholars in the last century, the survival of earthlings in science fiction settings, class contradictions, parents who over-raise their children, and Ponzi schemes in the real estate market. Zhou Wanjing has well integrated the very new realistic elements with the long-standing fantasy and romantic colors, and generally presents a kind of panic inner state of urban youth. The writer's description of the characters' emotions is still excellent, and the overall style is obviously heterogeneous.
