*The Journal of My Youth* is a collection of diaries written by French author Simone de Beauvoir between the ages of 18 and 22. Divided into six volumes, it includes a lengthy introduction by her adopted daughter, Sylvie Le Bon, and over 20 rare photographs (photos of Beauvoir with friends, letters, diaries, diplomas, etc., most of which are being published for the first time).
