This book tells the story of photographer Chen Kailai who witnessed his master (an underground CCP worker) being killed by the Japanese on a snowy night. After interpreting the important information his master passed to him before his death, he came from Hangzhou to Shanghai to find a contact. Chen Kailai used his identity as a photographer as a cover, and used his wit and agility to cooperate with Su Men, Zhao Qian and other underground CCP members who participated in the "Awakening Plan", putting his own life and death aside, and finally stole intelligence, killed high-ranking Japanese puppet officials, and then quietly lurked, waiting to be awakened by the organization again.
