Wenxi Flower Buns are unique in dough sculpture culture for their exquisite craftsmanship and profound cultural heritage. They are one of the national intangible cultural heritages and are known as the "mother's art". The author explores the origin, evolution, artistic characteristics and value of Wenxi Flower Buns by collecting and sorting historical materials, image materials, oral history materials, and using knowledge in the fields of aesthetics, iconography and semiotics. In 2008, Wenxi Flower Buns were included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists. They were exhibited at the Shanghai World Expo in 2010. Four world records were set at the "China Wenxi Flower Buns Cultural Festival" held in 2012. This book will interpret Wenxi Flower Buns from the aspects of their development, classification and meaning, artistic characteristics, oral history of inheritors, inheritance and development.
