"Cat and Fish" is a non-fiction long work by filmmaker Chen Chong. The stories of ancestors and mothers, the years in the old house on Pingjiang Road, the days of the "Little Flower" crew caravan, embarking on a journey of studying abroad alone, the unknown behind-the-scenes of each movie, the love, pain and struggle in life, through the author's retrospect, are vividly written on paper. Writing family stories is a unique Shanghai narrative and the spiritual history of Chinese intellectuals; from "Little Flower" to "The Last Emperor", "Yi", "The Sun Also Rises" and so on, the front and back of the screen are biographies of film artists; from childhood in Shanghai to working hard in a foreign country, each life journey is a whisper of passion and tenderness of women.
