"A Garden Full of Flowers: The Artistic Magic of Cartier" is a companion catalog to the exhibition of the same name jointly launched by the Cartier Collection and the Shanghai Museum. In the 1970s, Cartier began to collect jewelry, timepieces and other precious accessories created by the brand in its early years, carefully collected and repaired them. In 1983, the Cartier Collection came into being. Today, the Cartier Collection has included more than 3,500 works from the 1850s to the early 21st century, and the scale of the collection is constantly expanding. It tells the story of the style inheritance and creative ingenuity of the brand's founding for more than 170 years, and also provides a more comprehensive historical evidence for the evolution of decorative arts and social development since the late 19th century. Since the first large-scale exhibition held at the Petit Palais Museum in Paris, the Cartier Collection has been invited to many world museums.
