This book is a collection of essays. Zhang Guangzhi, a farmer's son born in Zhecheng, eastern Henan, achieved success through unremitting efforts. After retirement, he unloaded the heavy burden on his shoulders and often dreamed of returning to his hometown. He used words to record his childhood playmates, life scenes in difficult times, and the hometown feelings and family affection that have not been erased by time. These words record the folk history of a bygone era, which is simple and warm, without any dross, and has strong readability.
