This book tells the story of a primary school student named Lin Weiyang who, by opening a mechanism on a tortoise shell, rescues a Qing Dynasty scholar named Guifuzi, who was punished by heaven and turned into a tortoise. Together with Guifuzi, Lin Weiyang travels back to the Shang Dynasty during the oracle bone script era, follows King Zhou of Shang (Di Xin) in his conquest of the world, and witnesses Di Xin's rise and fall, and his eventual defeat by King Wu.
