Seven Voyages of Cinema: Godard on Cinema/电影的七段航程：戈达尔论电影

In 1978, Jean-Luc Godard, the French art-house film director and founder of the French New Wave, delivered a series of one-hour lectures at the School of Cinema Arts at Concordia University in Montreal. These fourteen lectures were part of Godard's planned history of film, laying the foundation for his later book, *Histoire de Cinema*. Transcribed and edited, Godard's lectures and the accompanying discussions were published in French in 1980. In this series of lectures, Godard screened his own films from the 1960s onwards, as well as some of the films that had the greatest influence on his work. Through a kind of "open self-analysis," Godard elaborated on his personal and professional relationships, working methods, artistic concepts, political stance, and even his philosophy of life.
