This book tells the story of Prince, an Afghan Hound carefully bred into a show dog, and Oreo, a stray dog who survives on the fringes of the city thanks to his intelligence and wit. Oreo accidentally enters the kennel because of a piece of beef, and they become acquainted. As Prince distinguishes himself in dog shows, his conflicts with his owner, Sister Zeng, escalate. During a commercial shoot, Prince gets into serious trouble and escapes the kennel with Oreo, embarking on a life on the streets. They endure scorn, hunger, and danger; Prince is even hunted for biting a passerby and is lured to a live-streaming studio by a popular dog trainer known as "Terminator." Will these two companions be able to escape the dog catchers' control, and will Prince be able to safely return to the kennel?
