This manuscript is a memoir by Professor Zheng Yishi of the Department of Philosophy at East China Normal University. The manuscript comprises 350,000 words, over 60 sections, and more than 160 pictures, covering topics such as "My Father I Never Met," "My Resilient Mother," "My First Step in My Career," "The College Entrance Examination That Changed My Fate," "My University Life," "My Postgraduate Entrance Examination Experiences," and "My Colleagues in the Research Office by the Liwa River." The manuscript is a personal history, a family history, and a social history. Using his extended family as a case study, the author vividly presents the life experiences and growth trajectories of himself and key family members amidst the changing times. Through the manuscript, one can also glean insights into the author's personality, his approach to life and scholarship, and the influence of his upbringing.
