Lin Jingwen, the daughter of ordinary workers in Chaoshan, struggled to find a job and nearly got scammed; Liu Shuxuan, a local, easily landed a position in a public institution after graduating from a top university. However, due to her comfortable upbringing, she was careless about details and was penalized for irregularities in reimbursing travel expenses; and Shi Pu, a young man from southern Fujian, graduated from a vocational school, but his family fell into decline. The township enterprise was on the verge of bankruptcy, leaving the entire village unemployed. These three young people, from different places and seemingly unconnected, bonded over a late-night snack. In this inclusive city of Guangzhou, they met, got to know each other, seized opportunities presented by their time, and worked hard, witnessing Guangzhou's development while also experiencing their own growth.
