This book begins with an apple falling from a tree. The apple is eaten by various small animals and insects, and eventually rots and the seeds sink into the soil. After a burst of spring rain, the seeds gradually wake up, break the ground and sprout, turning into saplings. The saplings have been exposed to wind and rain for many years, and after years of recuperation, they finally bear big red apples and become real fruit trees.
