The female protagonist, Cheng Fei, is an intern at a television station. On her way home from get off work, she is harassed by some thugs and takes refuge in an abandoned factory. There, she meets Zhou Qingnan, whom she believes to be a "gangster" boss. She lies and claims to be his girlfriend to be rescued, thus beginning their connection. The male protagonist, Zhou Qingnan, is an undercover agent infiltrating a criminal gang. He is not trusted by the gang leader and, in order to gain his advantage, he binds Cheng Fei to him.
