This book tells the story of the two-thousand-year love affair between Bai Fengjiu, the princess of Qingqiu, and Donghua Dijun, the venerable god of Taichen Palace. Bai Fengjiu, the princess of Qingqiu, was saved by Donghua Dijun and remembered his kindness. To repay his kindness, Fengjiu served as a palace maid in Taichen Palace for many years. When Donghua was imprisoned in the Ten Evils Lotus Realm, Fengjiu transformed into a spirit fox to save him. Afterwards, Fengjiu accompanied Donghua as a spirit fox. Upon learning that Donghua was to marry Ji Heng as his empress, Fengjiu left heartbroken. Later, when Donghua went to the mortal realm to undergo tribulations, Fengjiu followed him. In the Valley of Brahma, Fengjiu, in order to obtain the Bodhi Fruit, fell into the dream of Alanruo, reliving Alanruo and Shen Ye's past. Donghua transformed into Xize to rescue Fengjiu. In the great battle against Miaoluo, justice triumphed over evil, and light triumphed over darkness. In the end, Donghua and Fengjiu became a couple.
