A fig tree growing in the middle of the tavern witnessed the love of Ada's parents. Ada's father, Kostas, is a Greek Christian, and her mother, Devne, is a Turkish Muslim. The two people from different cultural backgrounds fell in love. When the civil war entered a white-hot stage, Devne tricked Kostas to go to the UK, and cracks began to appear between the two.
