This book is a collection of his travelogues written in diary form, extensive in scope and rich in content: using geography as its framework and time as its temporal dimension, it meticulously depicts various wonders such as mountains, rivers, bamboo, trees, rocks, caves, and ravines, while also recording people and events, showcasing the local customs and traditions of various regions during the late Ming Dynasty. The base text is the edition by the scholar Zhu Huirong, known for its high level of textual criticism. Translator Zhang Jiawei's translation closely follows the original text, and illustrations by Yushan are included.
