During a poverty alleviation research project in a remote mountain village in southern China, university professor Tang Heng unexpectedly reunites with her former classmate, Li Yuechi. Long-dormant memories of their university days flood back. Six years ago, Tang Heng, then a junior and lead singer in the campus band, got into trouble during a public performance. Li Yuechi, a senior student, stepped in to help her, resolving the conflict smoothly. The two became acquainted through this, and their relationship deepened through collaborative projects on campus. Tang Heng greatly admired Li Yuechi's perseverance. However, Li Yuechi later abruptly withdrew from the project and was imprisoned for intentionally harming Tang Heng's uncle, severing all ties between them. This reunion six years later gradually brings the truth behind the events of that year to light.
