This book tells a story that took place on Mount Juyu, on the shores of the ancient East China Sea. The people of Mount Juyu lived a carefree and peaceful life, but were envied and invaded by neighboring tribes. The monkey chief of Mount Juyu decided to lead a large army to conquer them, appointing his adopted son, Yellow-Headed Jackal, as acting king. Unexpectedly, Yellow-Headed Jackal became cunning and ruthless, excluding and killing those who disagreed with him, attempting to seize everything. Later, the victorious monkey chief and his righteous forces defeated Yellow-Headed Jackal, and the monkey chief then implemented a series of measures to restore order to Mount Juyu.
