This textbook starts with the real writing process of English learners in my country (from information collection, thought organization, concept ladder, paragraph structure characteristics to discourse characteristics of formal texts, logical relationships, coherence, introduction and conclusion, and characteristics of Chinese English, etc.), emphasizing the authenticity and logic of the writing process. Each unit of the textbook takes the "output-oriented method", the latest achievement of English education research in my country, as the content design principle, and applies the three links of "driving, facilitating, and evaluating" to the activity design of each unit. Starting from the "driving" link, students are inspired to recognize the deficiencies in their own knowledge and skills, and then according to the students' writing problems, facilitating activities in "content, structure, and language" are provided; finally, evaluation is used to promote learning, effectively achieving the unit teaching objectives and output objectives.
