This book is a revised and expanded version of the author's doctoral dissertation, further extending the research timeframe and broadening the research scope, transcending the different cultures of China and Korea. It first focuses on the formation, rise, establishment, and evolution of the "Little China" ideology in the early Goryeo, late Goryeo, early Joseon, and late Joseon periods, as well as its close connection with royal power. This is the historical origin, political driving force, and ideological root of Joseon politics, diplomacy, and culture. Secondly, it examines the large-scale book exchanges between the Joseon Dynasty and the Ming and Qing Dynasties under the influence of the "Little China" ideology. It was the shared stimulus of both that gave rise to the phenomenon of "historical rebuttal" against China. Finally, it focuses on exploring the "historical rebuttal" at various stages under the influence of royal power crises and the "Little China" ideology, thereby revealing the Joseon Dynasty's history.
