This picture book for young children tells the story of an old lantern maker who created two lanterns—a koi fish and a jade rabbit—from the same bamboo pole. They were best friends from the moment they were born. On the night of the Lantern Festival, the koi fish was bought and taken to live in Master Liu's mansion, separating it from the jade rabbit. The koi fish missed its friend day and night, and finally, on the night of the Ghost Festival, with the help of the Qilin Furnace, it flew away from Master Liu's mansion to find the jade rabbit. After many hardships, the two best friends were finally reunited and transformed into stars in the sky, realizing their more meaningful dreams in life.
