plankton/浮游生物

Titled "Plankton," this book includes 11 short stories about urban men and women, such as "July," "Naked," "Heron," "White Butterfly," "Garden," "Late Autumn Grass and Trees," "Where Are You Going," "Mountain Pass," "Escape," and "Late Autumn Grass and Trees," to discuss the individual's situation and choices in modern society. The protagonists are like diatoms at the bottom of the water, or vines intertwined in a garden; when faced with emotions, desires, and fate, they often feel powerless and unable to control themselves… Ye Duan's writing is sharp and delicate; reading these stories is like stepping into a lush, branching literary garden.
