This is a pinyin-based storybook adapted from the classic Shanghai Animation Film Studio production of "Havoc in Heaven." It includes four stories: Obtaining the Golden Cudgel, Being Appointed as the Keeper of the Heavenly Horses, Returning to the Mountain as the Great Sage, and His Second Visit to Heaven. It combines story reading with pinyin learning. The double-page spreads faithfully to the original animation's large illustrations, while the single-page spreads pinyin annotations corresponding to the illustrations. This allows children to "read" the stories while simultaneously developing their interest in "watching" them, and ultimately, learning to "tell" the stories themselves, thus improving their reading and expression skills. Each story is followed by a parent-child Q&A section to help children review the plot and retell the story.
