This is a pinyin-based storybook adapted from the classic Shanghai Animation Film Studio series "The Monkey King Subdues the Demon," containing four stories: the encounter between the master and his disciples and the White Bone Demon; Sun Wukong's foiled honey trap; the White Bone Demon's second elaborate scheme; and Sun Wukong's three battles with the White Bone Demon. It combines story reading with pinyin learning. The double-page spreads faithfully to the original animation's large illustrations, while the single-page spreads pinyin annotations corresponding to the illustrations. This allows children to not only "read" the stories but also develop an interest in "watching" them, ultimately learning to "tell" stories themselves and improving their reading and expression skills.
